The Lost Key

The Lost Key W.A.L.T: Write a descriptive story based on a picture. We had to write a story about a picture. You also had to write about a object in your story and you lost it and then you found it.

“Annabelle open the door please! “ Mum yelled. “Coming!” I yelled. “Thanks Annabelle” Said Mum. “Did you get my lollies?” I asked. “Of course I did” Mum replied. “Thanks Mum” I said. “Your welcome Annabelle” Mum replied. I went to sit on the couch in the living room and watch TV. “Mum someone is at the door!” I called. “Can you please see who it is” Mum called. “Sure!” I replied. “Thanks Annabelle” Mum called. “Umm Mum!” I yelled. “What Annabelle?” Mum replied. “Uhhh never mind” I yelled. “Ok?” Mum replied. I walked outside. “Ummm hello? Who are you?” I cried. “Hello, I am Jacob” He Said. “I am Annabelle?” I replied. “Why are you here?” I asked. “Look I need you to keep this key safe for just a month, Please” Jacob said. “Why me, can’t you ask someone else to look after your key?” I said. “Look I don’t have time to talk” Jacob said. He gave me the key. “Please just keep it safe for a month” Jacob cried. “Fine.” I replied. “Thank you!” He yelled. “Your welcome” I replied. “I will see you in a month” Jacob said. “Ok goodbye” I said. “Bye…” Jacob replied. I thought where I should hide the key. “Aha here, in this box” I said to myself. I hid it deep down in the box that I couldn’t even see the key anymore. “It’s getting late, I should get to bed” I said to myself. I woke up the next morning. I looked in the box and the key was gone!. “Uhh where is the key!” I yelled. “Annabelle is everything ok in there?” Mum asked. “Uhh yes” I replied. I called my friend as fast as I could. “Come on Mary pick up!” I said to myself. “Hello?” Mary said. “MARY!” I yelled. “Whats up?” Mary asked. “I can’t talk, please just come to my house, QUICK!” I yelled. “Ok! On my way!” Mary yelled. Knock Knock, Mary knocked. “MARY!” I yelled. “Hello!” Mary said. “Ok so what's up?” Mary asked. “Well… long story” I said. “Yea, and?” Mary said. “A random man named Jacob randomly turned up to my house and gave me this random key and asked if I could look after it for him and I said sure, AND NOW I LOST IT!” I panicked. “So you need me to help you find the key?” She asked. “YES!” I replied. “Ok sure” She said. “We need to start looking!” I said. “Ok!” Mary replied. “Not here, not here, not here, not here, and not here!” I panicked. “Not here, not here, not here, not here, and not here, aha here is this the key?” Mary said. “YES THAT’S IT!” I yelled. “Phew we found it” Mary said. “Thank you so much for helping me Mary” I said. “Your welcome!” Mary said. ”Ok goodbye!” I said. “Cya!” Mary replied. Knock knock, Jacob knocked. “Hello!” I said. “Hello!” Jacob said. “Here is your key” I said. “Thank you for looking after my key” Jacob said. “No problem” I replied. “I am gonna go now, bye!” Jacob said. “Goodbye!” I replied. Life was back to normal again I didn’t have to look after a key anymore.

  1. Hi Mya it is Hayley from Wigram primary school
I like the way you added speech marks. Maybe next time you could push enter for your walt so then the readers don't think it is part of your story. This reminds me of when I lost something and then I found it again.
